I am not sure why you would put your key in nf when you can insert when you call the docker instance. To run MakeMKV until Mike updates the beta key message, you will need to set your system DATE back to before the expiration (20 July is good). I was able to fix my issue, by adding the environmental variable "-e MAKEMKV_KEY=UNSET" and once the container started, I was able to again edit the nf, put in my key, restart the container, and it I know you documented that environmental variable, but did you want to add some verbiage that makes it easier for those who have paid keys to set that variable and edit the nf to put in their key? The issue was any time the container restarts, it overrode my key with the beta key, and it's now expired. I paid for a license with MakeMKV (since I believe it's a great product and want to support the developer) and when I set up the docker container, I modified the nf with my paid key. Once started, the system date can be anything - its only checked when the program starts. Using the key in the linked message works with system dates up through March 31, 2023. but this time, im having the exact same issue as the OP so its not just him. However, you can RESTART the 30 days by updating the beta key, even though it hasnt changed. It uses the 'xml' API method.nIt will store some metadata in the registry to not exessively contact the API.nUnder normal circumstances the tool will only check for a key once the old one has expired.nThis means you dont need an internet connection to. ![]() I had a different problem, that I didn't realize what was going on until the beta key expired. The key included with 1.17.1 is even older, so the system date would need to be moved back a LOT further to get approval to start. The BD features expire after 30 days after first use with a beta key. This tool contacts the API of to get the latest key. ![]()
